Cambridge Central Mosque
Cambridge Central Mosque opened in 2019 as Europe's first eco mosque and is known for its architecture and the quality of its finishes. Ahead of a Royal visit in 2026, we were asked to restore and enhance the timber finishes in the exhibition space and refresh the limestone fountain, working through the day and night to finish on time.
- Timber finish restoration, exhibition space
- Limestone fountain refresh
- Completed ahead of a Royal visit, 2026
“I had the pleasure of working with Adele and the Surface Artists team in preparation for the Royal visit to the award winning Cambridge Central Mosque in 2026. The mosque, which opened in 2019 as Europe's first eco mosque, is renowned for its exceptional architecture and high quality finishes, so maintaining those standards was essential.
We needed specialist support to restore and enhance the timber finishes in the exhibition space, refresh the limestone fountain, and source premium products for the exhibition. Adele and her team went above and beyond, working day and night to deliver outstanding results.
Their craftsmanship, attention to detail, professionalism, and commitment to quality were exceptional. It was a pleasure working with them, and I would highly recommend Surface Artists to anyone looking for expert surface restoration and finishing services.”

A chip had broken out of the edge of this quartz worktop, right beside the sink. We repaired it on site and blended the finish into the surrounding quartz. The worktop stayed in place.

Quartz Worktop Chip Repair
A chip had come out of the surface of this quartz worktop in a Cambridge kitchen. We repaired it on site and blended the area back into the worktop.
- Chip repair, colour matched
- Sanded and polished level
- Completed on site, worktop not replaced
We cleaned the damaged area and filled it with a colour-matched resin. Once cured, we sanded and polished it level with the surrounding quartz. The worktop stayed in place and did not need replacing.
